New Year New You? How to Reach your New Year Dreams

Good morning group hope you’re all well, and Happy New Year! We are here, January 2nd, how quickly did Christmas and New Year come and go, as it always does? We always have this massive build up and anticipation with Christmas and then it’s gone before you know it – bang bang bang, back to work, all over and done with.

I had a great time relaxing with the family, spent some time unwinding and getting some energy back in the tank for January, knowing it would be a big month and it’s proving to be that already. Seven sign-ups the other day and literally walking into the New Year with many more people starting up on our fitness programs.

So, what we want to try and avoid is going into the New Year as a repeat of last year, because 1st January is a time to go, “that’s it, last year’s gone!” I’ve had all of the stuff that happened to me last year; it was a good year/bad year – wherever it was, we are going into January 1st. Everyone associates January 1st as a turning point, because last year was last year, this year is this year; but to me there’s no difference at all, because last year will be exactly the same as this year for you, because of one thing that is holding you back. One thing, it’s that simple!

One thing that is holding you back, that you have to avoid doing at all costs guys, if you want to make your New Year’s dreams become a reality.

You can’t give up on yourself.

You have to believe in yourself, when the going gets tough, and it’s going to get tough; it’s going to get muddy in the trenches, it’s going to get hard, it’s going to get gritty, it’s going to take determination. It’s going to take all these elements for you to get up and believe in yourself because with most people’s dreams, they give up on themselves. They give up and they lose faith, they lose hope and they lose belief in what they think is possible for them.

The problem we’ve got is most people are trying to achieve something they’ve never achieved before. So, for you to achieve something you’ve never achieved before, the problem we’ve got is we lose faith and hope in ourself. We lose the belief that we can achieve that greatness.

We see so many people out there achieving great things, becoming successful. We’re scattered everywhere these days with beautiful women, guys with six packs all over the TV, and what we do these days, is we compare ourselves to these people and what happens is you lose hope; you lose faith and you lose belief that you can get there, because you’re comparing yourself to these type of people out there – self-image. What I’m trying to bring you back to today, is a bit of reality. For you, a normal person watching this video, to aspire to something that is totally unachievable out there, don’t get yourself too far ahead of yourself.

  1. Believe in yourself that you can even accomplish the smallest of challenges, the very smallest of challenges.
  2. Don’t put too much on your plate for your New Year’s dreams guys to start off with. Keep it small.
  3. Make it so that you can achieve the things that you want to do, with relative ease and then work yourself up, because if you’re trying to achieve something that you’ve never achieved before, it’s going to take a lot of determination and a lot of energy to get you to that point.

So we must remember – always, always, always, believe in yourself guys. Believe!

Because that’s the difference, I think, between the people that make it and the people that stay in the same spot – they just have enough guts, enough courage, enough hope, enough determination, to believe in themselves enough, that when they get knocked down they get back up, and then they get knocked down they get back up again, knocked back down get back up again.

And that is the simple truth to it.

That is because people have lost the faith and belief in themselves. Because they don’t know how to get to where they want to be because they don’t seek guidance and support, from people that have been there and they’re doing it day in day out because unfortunately I think in this day and age we become very proud in wanting to do everything on our own.

And when you feel that sometimes, that “I can’t ask for help, I can’t ask for help, no, no I’m going to work this out myself”, but listen, there are some times it’s good to have a crack, it’s good to have a go at something, but if you feel like you’re getting nowhere trying to do that thing, then surely at some point you must say to yourself okay, I believe in myself, I’m trying everything possible and nothing’s happening still. Then there may be some reason, somewhere along the line that you can believe in yourself enough, but you just haven’t got the knowledge and education to get yourself to that point.

Now sometimes belief in yourself, even though a great thing it may be, is that you do need that guidance sometimes, you do need education, you do need knowledge, to get you to a certain point. So make sure you do keep believing yourself no matter what. It doesn’t matter if you’ve failed, you’re not getting to where you want to be, because in time, I guarantee you’ll get there.

Greatness takes time. Greatness takes time, guys and anything you want to achieve will take a long amount of time. So just remember to just keep believing in yourself. If you don’t get to where you want to be and even if you feel like you’re believing in yourself, you feel like everything you’re trying to do is pushing in the right direction – seek guidance, seek help. Don’t be scared to reach out for help from somebody if you’ve got all the belief in the world and you’re still not getting to where you want to be.

If you tried every single which way possible because there’s no point in just continuing to be proud of yourself and not asking for help with something you can’t do. If there’s something I can’t do and I legitimately cannot do it, in the end I’ll always try first and I always have a go, but if there’s something I know that it’s going to take me longer to do it and the frustration, the pain and agony for me to get to that point, I just get somebody else to do it because there are certain things in our life that you do need some guidance, some help and some support to get to.

But ultimately, we all have to believe in ourselves that we’ve got it, it’s all about self-worth. It’s all about believing in yourself to make sure that you know you feel like you are worthy to be able to do something and if you haven’t got to that point before, don’t be too proud and ask for help, okay.

But, it’s always good to remember to go into anything believing you can do something and the chances are you know you will be able to overcome obstacles along the way, and if it does get too hard then don’t be scared to reach out for help. It’s that simple, but ultimately it comes back down to never giving up on yourself, never giving up on you as a person to make sure that regardless of what task it is you’re trying to do, that you still go into it with self-belief and determination and you tackle every different task like that. And like I say to you, some of the tasks you’ll be able to complete because you believe in yourself, you build confidence through that self-belief, some things you won’t able to tackle and you won’t be able to get over, so you’ll have to seek guidance and ask for help.

Always remember that self-belief should be with you through everything you do in your life, which will improve your confidence, your self-esteem, and through that your self-belief, through that your self-worth, to know that you are worthy, you can do certain things. And again, when we set our New Year’s dreams of what you want to do, many people will fall down on this one, many people will fall down, because they won’t ask for help. They will be too proud, they won’t get to where they want to be, they will be stuck back in the same spot again, or they just won’t have enough belief and they just won’t continue on.
